This fountain was designed by the architect Antonio Sarti and built in 1842. It is situated on the building in front of the entrance to Palazzo Torlonia. It consists of a sarcophagus of the Roman age resting on lion paws with a portrait of the defunct within a medallion in the centre, supported by two tritons.
